Shell & Boo's Visit

Adrian's parents are here visiting from Abu Dhabi so it's been a bit busy at our house lately. Hadley has enjoyed spending time with Shell and Boo. She's also gotten quite a bit of time in with her cousins, Danielle, Hunter, Damyn and Timothy. Here are a few recent pictures.

This is her new smile where she crinkles up her nose. (Mom says she gets this from the Lindelsee side of the family.)
Shell and Hadley (can you see the resemblance??!!)
Hadley's new favorite teething item: gherkin pickles!
A lady came up to me and asked me how old Timothy and Hadley were. I said Timothy was 17 months and Hadley was 9 months. She got this really strange look on her face and I couldn't figure out why. Then it dawned on me--I said, "They're COUSINS!! They're not both mine!" Very funny!
Sidenote: I've added links to photo albums on the left-hand side of the blog. Go there if you want to see all the Waterworld pictures.

Michelea, John and Hadley in Estes Park
Finally!! I somehow see something of myself in this picture of Hadley! Not sure what it is, though.
Getting her first taste of ice cream at Damyn's birthday party
Chillin' at the house
Gus likes to back up and sit in Hadley's lap. He doesn't like to miss out on any fun.

Love Bites...

...or, she's got teeth and she knows how to use them.

That means I'm done with breastfeeding! Friday, June 6 was Hadley's last day. I can't say that either of us knew that it was going to turn out that way on that fateful morning, but those two toofers did us both in. I yelped loud enough that her bottom lip stuck out and she almost cried. But then she does what she always does when I tell her "no"--she laughed at me, the little booger! Kinda hard to stay mad at a face like this...

Viva la Vida! Viva la Coldplay!

My friend Lee has been talking about Coldplay's new song "Viva la Vida" for a few weeks now. She's been raving about it and saying how much her son Jackson loves it, too. I didn't really pay much attention until I actually/finally heard the song. WOW. I don't know what it is about that song, but it seriously gives me goosebumps. And I don't even like Coldplay! Or at least I didn't use to. Everyone always raved about them and I never got the appeal. I think I get it now. Their new song has got me hooked. I danced with Hadley in the living room to it when they played it live tonight at the MTV movie awards. (Yes, I'm 32-years-old and still watch the MTV movie awards. And no, if there are bands like the stupid Pussycat Dolls on there when Hadley gets a bit older, she WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to watch that channel. Thankfully, there weren't things like parental controls on t.v.'s when we were growing up!)

**Sidenote**
I'm also the idiot who used to dislike U2. What was I thinking? Now I think if I ever saw that band play live I'd probably cry. They're that cool. But I still will stand my ground with Bruce Springsteen. Not a fan.
