The Latest

The latest is that I'm currently hacking up a lung. All the Peechs' have been sick this past week. We all caught Hadley's cold. I don't know what Gus caught, but I'll tell you about that later. A week ago on Thursday (Valentine's Day) I came home and told Adrian I hadn't been feeling good all day. He told me he felt the same way. I had a sore throat and felt like I might be running a fever. He just had the fever. In fact, he had a 102-degree fever! So he called in sick to work that night. That's only the second time he's ever done that in his entire life, and both times have been since Hadley's been born! I called in sick to work Friday morning. We both slept a lot that day and tried to get rid of it. I'm left with this stupid cough/cold but I think we're all on the mend.

So then two nights ago Gus decides it's his turn. He threw up THREE TIMES in the middle of the night! I don't know what he ate or what his problem was. Hadley doesn't even wake us up in the middle of the night, but the dog sure does. Sheesh. That's the nastiest sound in the world to wake up to Gus barfing on the carpeting. Pleasant description, right?

Ok, here it is...what you've really been waiting for...embarrassing footage of Jenny and I being shown up by our cousins doing the Soulja Boy (Sluis wedding in Chicago 01/26/08). I'm so going to regret putting this up here! (Thankfully the video is kinda dark.) Vicki tried to teach Cody, Jenny and I the dance and really Cody was the only one who caught on. Jenny and I were definitely NOT "reception ready!" Katie, Kevin and Vicki got DOWN!

I See the Moon...

I see the moon...the moon sees me.

Grandpa Lindelsee used to bounce us on his knee and say that to us. Tonight I was reading some blogs online (you know how you read one, and you click on one of that author's favorite bloggers, then you click on another favorite blogger, and somehow you end up randomly at some weird blogger's site and you say to yourself, "How did I end up here?") and "I See The Moon" was the title of this girl's blog. She had posted the rest of the lullaby. I never knew it went beyond seeing the moon! I want to learn the whole thing and repeat it to Hadley. It'll always remind me of Gpa L.

I see the moon, and the moon sees me. The moon sees the one I long to see. God bless the moon, and God bless me, God bless the one I long to see. It seems to me, that God above, created you for us to love. He picked you out of all the rest. Because He knew I would love you the best.

4 Months

Hadley turned 4 months old on Wednesday, January 30th. She had her 4-month-checkup today and weighed in at 13 lbs. 12 oz. and is 24" long. She has a bit of a cold but you wouldn't really know it by looking at her. She's still her happy, smiley self. She had 4 shots and that's when she really lost it and screamed her head off. I didn't blame her! So of course, if she's crying like that, then Adrian and I are standing there all teary-eyed looking at her. I hate it when she gets shots! The doctor said that we could start her on solids so Adrian picked up some rice cereal. I think we're going to need a few more attempts at solids, and I think maybe we pick a better day to try them! She really wasn't feeling up to trying new things today. Again, I don't blame her!

Part one (so far so good, right?)

Part two (ok--we're done!)
