Hadley Helped Daddy Shovel Snow

During John's visit we had a little snowstorm come through. The snow wasn't all that bad but it was bitterly cold. Hadley wasn't content to watch from the window--she wanted to be outside to help Daddy shovel! So we bundled her up in her goofy snowsuit and sent her out the door. Hilarious! These pictures will be blackmail someday!

Purple stay-puff marshmellow man, or our Hadley Bean? You decide. (Guess it keeps her warm and that's what counts.)

Hadley Celebrated Cousin Timothy's 2nd Birthday

John, Adrian's dad, came over to the U.S. for his pilot's recurrent training. He was in Dallas for a week for the training and then he was by us for a week to visit. On January 25th cousin Timothy turned 2. I had to work, but I was there at the party in spirit. John, Adrian and Hadley got to celebrate in Cheyenne in person.

Had Dinner with my HS Prom Date

Zac Hinkle came from Austin to check out things in Denver. Zac was my high school prom date wayyyyyyy back in 1994 and then we were also at Baylor together. We've kept in touch over the years and it was great catching up with him. Jenny, Noah, Hadley and I met him for dinner at PF Chang's. Hadley wasn't too sure of him I don't think.

Visted Grammy and Gramps in Houston

Nothing beats a last-minute trip to Houston to visit Grammy and Gramps! Jenny had already planned to fly into San Antonio (Blanco) to introduce Noah to Dana and the kids, and then they were going to drive to Houston (League City) to stay with Mom and Dad for the weekend. Well I didn't really feel like being left out of the Drenth family reunion, so Mom and Dad generously offered to fly Hadley and I down as well. I couldn't pass that one up! Here are some of the highlights of our trip.

Ok--this is getting a little ridiculous. I can't believe I'm only blogging once a month. I read blogs every day but it's hard to write in mine. I can't post from work, trying to do it from my phone is too tricky, and I'm too attached to the couch and catching up on Tivo once Hadley is in bed for the night. I'll try to do better.

Despite turning 33 and getting my hair cut with bangs (ugh--I think I look quite "mom-ish" with the bangs), January was a good month. Check out the latest posts below to see what went on.
